DJ has been serving clients in various areas of financial planning, investment management and banking since 2001. He joined MFT in 2020 and is an owner of the firm. In addition to his duties as a financial advisor, DJ is the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer and chairs the Investment Committee.
Living and working on Florida’s “Space Coast,” many of DJ’s clients are literally rocket scientists! DJ and his team have developed tailored services in financial planning and wealth management for all types of professionals working in or retiring from the aerospace and defense industries. The team is intimately acquainted with issues facing those at Northrup Grumman, L3Harris, Leonardo DRS, NASA, Space X, Blue Origin, and United Launch Alliance.

Professional Experience
DJ began his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 2001. He subsequently spent seven years as a Financial Center Manager with Bank of America before joining Amarillo National Bank, where for the nine years prior to joining MFT, he was a Vice and Investment Officer managing investment portfolios totaling $400 million for working professionals, retirees, and charitable foundations.

DJ’s expertise lies helping clients discover what they truly want their money to do for them and building a financial framework in which they can realize their goals. This can include things such as designing complex financial plans and retirement models, tax projections, cash flow analysis, insurance needs analysis, investment portfolio construction and monitoring, and determining sustainable withdrawal rates for client portfolios.
